Believe it or not my business has started with a box of junk. I have a copywriting and marketing consulting business and also a commercial software company. My online presence and really my entire business was created around a box of electronic junk …
I pull around a box of old tubes (for you younger readers tubes were used in all electronics from the early 70s and back before they were replaced with transistors and then integratedcircuits.) These tubes were expelled from the army when they were cleaning up their inventories, but the pipes were essentially all "new" and unused still in original boxes. I did some experiments at the time with some of them, but for the most part this box kicking around the house.
Then recently I wanted to start my own business to supplement and eventually replace my income. How does one start a business? Well I looked online and bought some books, went to the library, etc. I found a business I wanted to pursue and really began to research it.
What I found is that there are two camps: 1.) The "You need a lot of money saved in advance if you want to start this business …" area, and 2.) The "You do not need anything but our system and simply sit and watch the money roll in" field.
Lets cut the crap: You need money for at least the bare essential, but it is possible to create a business with a few hundreds or thousands of dollars and makework? On the other hand, there is no "system" out there that can generate tons of cash while you sit back and let it run on autopilot. I do not care what anyone says, no such system, and no real evidence of such a system work. If you buy into the hype that you will get the deserved moniker of "Sucker", because this is what will be.
Back to the question: You can create, with a few dollars, a real business? I believe you can. I took the box of junk and tubes sold at auctionInternet, along with some other things around the house did not need. I used the money to buy books, and other small essentials for the business such as domain names and a two-year contract for my ISP. All without touching my income to my "real job", which is for my family to live.
Regarding software, I just started getting free stuff and finding ways to make it work together. The fact is that if we know what you're doing (and 22 years as a professional software engineer helps mehere) you can put together everything you need to search for free software and construction of a few other items you need. You can do, check out my site for testing. I have what some companies pay tens of thousands of dollars, and it costs me almost nothing. Here is a list of the types of things you can find software to do (remember sometimes take more elements together to get this all to work). This software is all legal I would not recommend ever using illegal, pirated, or otherwisestolen software. It is not worth it because you can be sued a legally lose your business and, perhaps, much more! You can also go to prison .. just not worth it!
So without further ado, here is a partial list:

've Not bought the "time" Big software but has everything for free or for less than a dollar on eBay. There is just tons of stuff, more than I can use, but I created a site where you can get all this stuff for free. My site HardToFindSoftware.com "was created tofilter through all the software freely available, and other useful business information, reports, books, etc. and put them in one place, interconnected by relevance and usefulness, and show that things work best with which other things. I do a complete review and list all the warts and flaws that I found as well as all the great things about this software and other items. There are many sites that have huge lists of free software, but rarely put them into usefulcategories for the manufacturer of business, and rarely see them (there are a few notable exceptions). HardToFindSoftware does all this so you can just go there and get what you need (all free!) And know in advance what it could not meet your expectations. Finally there is a forum for discussion and updates as well and you can opt to receive updates via email.
Another thing, some of you have noticed that "HardToFindSoftware" sounds a lot like Michael's Senoff"HardToFindSeminars.com" or its "HardToFindAds. First, there is no connection between his work and mine all kinds EXCEPT for the fact that I absolutely love your site and recommend it to anyone and everyone who wants to learn more about building a real business! He clears huge amounts of audio files on every topic imaginable business. I admire so much that I decided to use the model provisions to create "HardToFindSoftware. It also makesgood business sense and believe it or not, the domain was available … I used the money to buy more junk too!
Blessings on your business ventures!
